In Kashkadarya Region, another plan by a group involved in human trafficking has been uncovered, according to the press service of the regional Internal Affairs Department.

Based on operational information, the suspect deceived women with promises of large sums of money, sending them abroad to be involved in prostitution.

During investigative actions by Kashkadarya Region Internal Affairs Department officers, it was established that the suspect had previously been held accountable for intentional infliction of serious bodily harm, hooliganism, and illegal weapon possession.

During a pre-investigation check, it was found that he gained the trust of a woman named M.N., residing in Karshi city, convincing her of the possibility of earning easy and substantial income abroad. The suspect persuaded the woman that she could earn up to 12,000 lira per day (approximately $270) by providing intimate services to clients in spas and hotels in Istanbul, Turkey. He also promised to cover airfare expenses on the condition that she give him 50% of the earnings.

It was reported that all documents for taking the woman abroad had been processed, and final preparations for departure were underway. At this point, law enforcement agencies conducted an operational measure.

During the measure, group members were detained at Tashkent International Airport while attempting to send the victim to Turkey.

Regarding this case, a criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Part 2, Clause "k" of Article 135 of the Criminal Code (human trafficking for the purpose of involvement in prostitution), and he has been arrested. Investigative actions are ongoing.

Previously, in Surkhandarya Region, two women were detained while attempting to send three citizens to the UAE for prostitution, deceiving them with promises of work abroad. They were detained at the "Darband" checkpoint in Boysun District on their way to Tashkent Airport. Regarding this case, measures are being considered to initiate a criminal case on human trafficking.
