In Uzbekistan, the practical implementation of the president's decree on modernizing the transport system has commenced.
As reported by Presidential Administration Head Saida Mirziyoyeva on February 27 in her Telegram channel, the newly established Traffic Organization Center presented a briefing on measures to reduce traffic congestion in Tashkent. Issues related to ecology and public transport control were also addressed.
"I was informed that major work is beginning on installing smart traffic lights, applying proper road markings, and organizing parking facilities," the message states.
Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed hope that the capital's mayor and his team will ensure full and timely execution of the decree.
"I will also monitor the progress of these tasks. I wish the team success in this very important and necessary project for the city," emphasized Saida Mirziyoyeva.
