The Prosecutor General's Office of Uzbekistan stated that there are signs of car theft and intentional infliction of serious bodily harm in the actions of a tenth-grader who hit a traffic police inspector in Tashkent. The injured officer, Khosilbek Eshnazarov, died on February 27 in a hospital, two days after the incident.

According to the investigation, on February 25, the teenager unlawfully took a BMW M4 car from a car wash, where it was parked on behalf of the owners—relatives of his acquaintance. Without a driver's license or vehicle documents, he was driving along Nukus Street in the Mirabad district.

The traffic inspector issued a lawful stop order. Other vehicles slowed down, but the teenager, according to the investigation, abruptly bypassed the cars and intentionally hit the officer while on duty, then fled. The supervisory authority emphasized that the minor's behavior had previously raised concerns: he posted videos on social media showing traffic violations, and in January, he disobeyed police orders, leading to his father being held administratively liable for improper parental duties.

The measures taken did not correct the situation, resulting in a criminal case being initiated under serious charges. The investigation is ongoing.
