In the Yashnabad district of Tashkent, an armored cash transport vehicle struck a pedestrian at a regulated crosswalk. The incident was captured on dashcam footage, showing the vehicle failing to yield to the pedestrian who was crossing on a green traffic light signal. After the impact, the pedestrian fell but quickly got up.

According to the Road Safety Department of the Tashkent City Main Internal Affairs Directorate, the traffic accident occurred on March 5 at approximately 19:10 on Shahrisabz Street. Official reports indicate that after the incident, the pedestrian did not seek medical attention, and no injuries were reported. The traffic violation has been formally documented as per established procedures.

This case highlights ongoing pedestrian safety concerns in Uzbekistan's capital. Previously, a similar incident occurred in the Bektemir district of the city: on the Tashkent Ring Road, a 19-year-old driver of a Damas vehicle hit an 18-year-old girl. Available information suggests that at the time of the collision, the victim was crossing the roadway at a pedestrian crossing.

Authorities are conducting an investigation, but such incidents often stem from non-compliance with traffic rules and driver negligence. These events underscore the need for enhanced safety measures on urban roads and greater awareness among road users to prevent future accidents.
