'Setora' Group: The History and Creative Journey of Uzbekistan's Legendary Musical Trio

The 'Setora' group was founded in March 1998 by classmates Feruza Latipova, Komila Khojayeva, and Laylo Galiyeva at the Glier Music School in Tashkent. This trio has carved out a unique niche in Uzbek pop music, captivating fans' hearts over the years with their distinctive style and performances.

Their first recorded song was 'Sevgi qaydasan', and in 1999, they presented their debut album 'Ohim'. In subsequent years, they released albums such as 'Sen borsan', 'Qora', and 'Bu hayot' ('Eto jizn'), which includes songs in Russian. Throughout their career, 'Setora' collaborated with notable composers like Shahnoz, Ruslan Sharipov, and Tohir Sodiqov, enhancing their musical diversity and appeal.

Due to disagreements with 'Tarona Records', the group performed under the name 'SeTanho' during the periods 2005−2008 and 2016−2017. However, in 2018, they regained the right to use the 'Setora' label, reaffirming their commitment to their original identity and legacy in the music industry.

On the occasion of an anniversary, Gazeta prepared a test based on the songs of the 'Setora' group, highlighting their cultural impact and enduring popularity among audiences. Their music continues to hold significant value for the Uzbek people, with their creative work occupying an important place in the history of Uzbek entertainment.
