In the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ramadan Eid holiday will be celebrated on March 20. This announcement was made in a decision by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, based on information from the Muslim Board. The religious festival holds significant importance and is one of the most widely observed celebrations in the country.
The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional administrations, and the Tashkent City Administration, in collaboration with the Committee on Religious Affairs, the Association of Mahallas, the National Agency for Social Protection, and other partner organizations, plan to organize cultural-educational and charitable events for Ramadan Eid, coordinated with the Nowruz holiday. These events aim to strengthen the festive spirit and enhance social cohesion.
The Tourism Committee has been tasked, in coordination with the Ministry of Transport, to create convenient conditions and opportunities for organizing visits to shrines and historical sites during the Ramadan Eid days. This initiative is designed to facilitate access for pilgrims and local residents to religious and cultural landmarks during the holiday period.
For information, holiday leave has been set for Ramadan Eid and Nowruz: those working 5 days a week will have 4 days off (March 20-23), while those working 6 days a week will have 3 days off (March 20-22). These leave days provide workers and employees with the opportunity to fully celebrate the festival.
