In Uzbekistan, a children's contest organized by Kia has concluded. Over several weeks, children aged 10 to 14 from across the country shared their stories through short videos about their love for football, dreams, and self-belief. Some participants showcased football skills, others displayed acting talent, while some simply spoke sincerely about why football means more to them than just a game.
Each entry was not merely a creative piece but a personal narrative – highlighting family support, the courage to express oneself, and the childlike confidence that the impossible is possible. The winner was 11-year-old Jahongir Sodiqov (@djaha_ili_djoha) from Nukus. His video scored the highest points and, according to the jury, most powerfully conveyed the contest's spirit – sincere, lively, and authentic.
The works were evaluated by representatives of Kia Uzbekistan, the President and CEO of Kia Russia and CIS Jaewoo Yim, and the chairman of the Uzbekistan national football team fan club Abdurahmon Fazilov. The focus of the assessment was not only on creativity and execution quality but also on emotionality, connection to football, and the child's independence. The winner's name was announced on March 15 in a live broadcast on the Instagram page @kia__uzbekistan, a moment that served as the climax for hundreds of participants and viewers following the contest.
Jahongir now awaits a trip to the United States, where he will attend matches of the FIFA World Cup and take the field in Houston on June 23, 2026 – not as a spectator but as part of a global football event. This contest serves as a reminder of a simple yet important thought: big events start with a small dream!
