The Credit Information Analytical Center (CIAC), under the initiative of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, has launched a new service called “Credit Notification.” This service enables citizens to receive immediate alerts about new credit contracts registered in their name. Notifications are sent via SMS and as push notifications in the CIAC mobile app, aiding in the timely detection of illegal or unauthorized loans.

The service has been available to users since March 16 through the CIAC mobile app and official website. To activate the “Credit Notification” function, users must access the “Additional Services” section in the app, with SMS notification services required to be pre-connected. The service is paid, costing 0.01 of the basic calculation amount (excluding VAT) or 4,614.40 soums (including VAT), and is valid for one year.

If a citizen receives a notification about a credit they did not take out, it is recommended to first check their credit history via the CIAC mobile app. If necessary, they can activate the “Credit Ban” service, contact the organization that issued the credit, or reach out to law enforcement agencies. If the notification pertains to a credit the citizen did take out, no further action is required.

The app can be downloaded via Google Play, AppStore, and AppGallery. It is noted that in 2025, nearly 440,000 citizens in Uzbekistan voluntarily banned credit issuance in their name. The service for individuals to include their data in the registry of persons prohibited from concluding credit agreements started on June 6, 2025, is free, and accessible through the my.gov.uz portal.
