Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. In 2025, 1,159 foreigners arrived in Uzbekistan for permanent residence. This data, released by the National Committee on Statistics, provides a clear picture of immigration flows into the country.
According to the statistics, the majority of settlers came from Russia (39.9%), Kazakhstan (20.3%), and Tajikistan (10.3%). Citizens of Kyrgyzstan (4.3%) and Turkmenistan (3.1%) also made up a notable share. The remaining 22.1% came from other countries.
The main center of attraction was Tashkent city, where 698 people relocated. A significant portion of migrants chose Tashkent region (275 people) and Karakalpakstan (101 people).
In other regions, the figures were significantly lower. In Syrdarya region, 24 migrants settled; in Fergana region, 14; in Jizzakh and Navoi regions, 12 each; in Bukhara region, 11; and in Khorezm region, 7. Isolated cases were recorded in Kashkadarya and Samarkand regions with 2 each, and in Namangan region, only one.
It is recalled that in 2025, 39.7 thousand foreign citizens arrived in Uzbekistan for study purposes. This, combined with the immigration statistics, offers a broader understanding of the country's role in international migration processes.
