President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan heard a report on measures to strengthen the country's defense capabilities, provide social protection for military personnel, and prepare for the celebration of May 9 – the Day of Memory and Honor. The head of state was presented with an updated strategy for personnel training, taking into account the nature of modern military conflicts and the need to introduce high technologies into the army environment.

One of the most anticipated decisions was a significant increase in the material support for the military. According to the signed acts, the monthly allowance for officers of the Ministry of Defense for length of service will double. The monetary allowance for privates and sergeants on contract service will increase by 10%.

Special attention was paid to preparations for May 9 – the Day of Memory and Honor. This year, each participant and disabled veteran of World War II will receive a one-time monetary reward of 30 million soums. The festive events will be held under the motto "Duty, Courage, Resilience!". In addition to honoring veterans, actions are planned to improve the housing of lonely pensioners and provide comprehensive support to the families of military personnel who died in the line of duty during the years of independence.

The reform will also affect the system of training reserve officers. Five new military training centers will be created at state universities in Urgench, Termez, Andijan, and Samarkand. For the first time, training of specialists in the most in-demand modern areas will begin: artificial intelligence, drone management, and robotics. Students of the master's program at the Military Medical Institute and students of non-state universities will also have the opportunity to undergo military training on a contract basis. The head of state emphasized that the mobility of units and the psychological resilience of personnel remain key priorities for national security.
