According to the Bukhara Regional Traffic Safety Department, on April 28, traffic police officers stopped a passenger bus in the Romitan district. During the inspection, it was found that the driver was intoxicated and was transporting 40 kindergarten children in the cabin.

The offender also failed to comply with the lawful demands of the police. In court, the driver pleaded guilty and expressed remorse for his actions.

The court found him guilty under Part 1 of Article 131 (Driving while intoxicated), Part 1 of Article 194 (Failure to comply with lawful demands), and Part 1 of Article 128-8 of the Administrative Code.

As a result, the driver was deprived of the right to drive all types of vehicles for 3 years. He was also fined 40 times the base calculation value — 16.48 million soums.

The traffic department urged parents to remain vigilant and not to be indifferent to children's safety. Earlier, in the Nurota district of Navoi, a Matiz car carrying 14 kindergarten children crashed. The driver was the head of a family kindergarten without a driver's license. The woman died, and the children were hospitalized with various injuries.

Subsequently, from May 1 to 8, the traffic department identified 125 cases of overloading children in vehicles. According to Zoir Yoldoshev, head of the information service, in some cases, Damas minibuses carried up to 25-28 children, and Spark cars carried up to 18 children.

In particular, in the Izboskan district of Andijan, a driver transporting 58 kindergarten children in a minibus was stopped. The driver was fined, and a preventive conversation was held with the management of the educational institution.
