Citizens of Uzbekistan can stay in the UAE for up to 30 days without a visa. A free entry stamp is issued at the airport upon arrival, with no tourist fees. However, visa-free travel does not guarantee automatic entry; the final decision rests with border authorities.
For stays longer than 30 days or for work, study, or business purposes, a visa must be obtained in advance through an airline, travel agency, or employer. Long-term residency options include the Green Visa (for freelancers and skilled professionals) and the 10-year Golden Visa (for investors, entrepreneurs, and rare talent).
Border control has tightened significantly in recent years. Additional questioning is more common for solo travelers, those with previous overstays, or those lacking sufficient funds. To ensure smooth passage, travelers are advised to have hotel bookings, return tickets, and a clear explanation of their visit purpose.
Required documents: a passport valid for at least six months, hotel reservation, and return ticket. When traveling with children, each child must have their own passport; if traveling without parents, a notarized consent is needed. If surnames differ, a certified English translation of the birth certificate is recommended.
Payment: international cards (Visa, Mastercard) are widely accepted, but Uzbek cards may not work. Carrying cash (AED) is advisable. For communication, local SIM cards (Etisalat, Du) are available at airports; eSIM can be activated in advance. Voice and video calls via WhatsApp, Telegram, and FaceTime are blocked; only local apps like BOTIM are permitted.
The UAE enforces strict laws: public intoxication, drugs, and offensive behavior are prohibited. Car rental starts at $30–40 per day; a driver's license and International Driving Permit are required. Before renting, carefully review the contract and photograph any existing damage.
