Uzbekistan has approved a new version of the regulation on the procedure for providing subsidies and grants from the State Employment Assistance Fund. The document, signed by the Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction, will come into force on August 9, 2026.

The updated procedure focuses on practical employment support through education and business. Subsidies will now cover expenses for vocational training, retraining, and advanced training, which is expected to increase the competitiveness of job seekers in the labor market.

Special attention is paid to employers: incentives are provided for those who create more jobs than the required minimum, as well as for companies that adapt working conditions for people with disabilities.

Support also extends to education — the state is ready to compensate costs for obtaining professional certificates for teachers and industrial training masters. Additionally, entrepreneurs establishing qualification assessment centers can receive subsidies.

Loans are also provided for people with disabilities to enhance their independent economic activity. Financing will be carried out within the funds allocated in budget documents approved by territorial departments of the Ministry of Employment.

From July 2026 to January 2028, subsidies for improving the quality of education will be in effect. Teachers and industrial training masters will be reimbursed half of the costs for obtaining international and national certificates, but not exceeding 20 times the base calculation value — 8.2 million soums.
