The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi. The main topic of the talk was regional security and finding ways for closer cooperation.

The ministers agreed that any international disputes and conflicts should be resolved exclusively through political methods and at the negotiating table, based on the norms of international law. The diplomats discussed recent events in the region and agreed to coordinate the actions of their ministries to maintain stability.

Furthermore, Saidov and Araghchi reaffirmed their intention to develop the traditional friendship between Tashkent and Tehran. The sides plan to expand practical interaction in areas where the interests of the two countries intersect and continue regular dialogue on all topical issues.
