Specialists from the Tashkent city department of sanitary-epidemiological welfare and public health conducted an inspection of city markets following consumer complaints about vegetables showing signs of chemical treatment.

According to the results of the raids, SES employees did not identify a single case of sale of vegetables treated with any coloring substances. The department thanked citizens for their vigilance and attention to food safety issues.

Earlier, reports appeared on social networks and in the community 'Potrebitel.uz' from residents of the capital who complained about purchased tomatoes. According to buyers, when washing or cutting the vegetables, a bright mark remained on hands, dishes, and cutting boards, which was difficult to wash off with ordinary means. To confirm their words, citizens published photos with characteristic stains.
