Uzbekistan national team defender Abdukodir Khusanov became the winner of the FA Cup as part of Manchester City. In the tournament final, Pep Guardiola's side defeated Chelsea 1-0.

Khusanov started the match and played the full 90 minutes. The Uzbek player performed reliably in defense, winning several crucial duels and helping Manchester City keep a clean sheet. In the 56th minute, he received a yellow card for a foul on Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella.

Khusanov partnered with Marc Guehi in central defense. The only goal of the match came in the 71st minute: after a pass from Erling Haaland from the right flank, Antoine Semenyo slotted the ball into Chelsea's net.

After conceding, the London side attempted to increase pressure and frequently delivered the ball into Manchester City's penalty area, but the City defense and goalkeeper James Trafford prevented the opponent from equalizing.

This is Manchester City's first FA Cup since 2023. In the previous two seasons, Guardiola's side lost in the final — to Manchester United in 2024 and to Crystal Palace in 2025.

Abdukodir Khusanov became the first Uzbek footballer to win the FA Cup. Earlier, in March 2026, he also won the EFL Cup with Manchester City, defeating Arsenal in the final.

The 22-year-old footballer moved to City from French club Lens in January 2025.
