Uzbekistan welcomed over 4 million foreign tourists from January to April 2026, marking a nearly 30% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Committee.

The country recorded 4,048,617 international visitors in the first four months of the year, up by 930,800 people or 29.9% year-on-year.

The majority of tourists came from neighboring Central Asian countries. Kyrgyzstan led with 1,141,581 visitors, followed by Tajikistan (965,488) and Kazakhstan (935,003).

Other top source countries include Russia (341,842), Afghanistan (161,537), China (132,240), Turkmenistan (108,433), Turkey (57,686), India (16,057), and South Korea (12,145).

The growth is attributed to expanded international flights, simplified visa procedures, and ongoing development of domestic tourism infrastructure.
