A large-scale medical campaign titled “Salomatlik sari” (Towards Health) was conducted across seven regions of Uzbekistan – Tashkent, Khorezm, Namangan, Samarkand, Syrdarya, Navoi, and Jizzakh – organized by the Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party (UzLiDeP). Mobile buses staffed with specialized doctors traveled to remote villages and mahallas to provide free diagnostic services to residents who would otherwise have to travel to district centers.

During the campaign, approximately 5,030 people – predominantly women, youth, and the elderly – underwent express diagnostics. Local residents received consultations in 15 medical fields, including cardiology, endocrinology, oncology, and gynecology, and were able to undergo ultrasound, ECG, and mammography on site. Examinations revealed hidden or advanced pathologies in hundreds of rural residents: 1,103 people were given recommendations for outpatient treatment, while 587 individuals with serious health conditions were referred for hospitalization.

In parallel, targeted assistance was provided to vulnerable populations. Needy families received 133 types of medicines and vitamins, as well as 197 units of rehabilitation equipment; home-bound patients were examined by doctors at home. While such campaigns help detect diseases early and temporarily reduce the burden on rural residents, experts emphasize that one-off actions cannot replace the need for systematic development of permanent medical infrastructure in remote areas.
