Uzbekistan has abolished a previous restriction that limited the issuance of conformity certificates to only one vehicle per year for individuals and legal entities importing vehicles for personal use.

The changes were introduced by Presidential Decree No. 104, signed on June 4. The document amends the General Technical Regulation on the Safety of Wheeled Vehicles Placed into Circulation.

According to the amendments, the provision restricting the issuance of a conformity certificate to only one vehicle imported by an individual or legal entity for personal use within a calendar year has been removed from the rules.

The document comes into force on June 5, 2026.
