Commenting on the match and the level of the opponent, the Italian specialist highlighted the character of his players: 'I think we showed many positive aspects. Even after the score became 1:0, the team did not lose discipline and structure on the field, continuing to act as a unit and fight until the end. Playing against teams of this level is not easy, but I saw many pluses in my players' actions. We need exactly such matches: facing strong opponents always gives us the opportunity to learn and gain experience. Overall, I am satisfied with the game.'
Fabio Cannavaro also spoke about the team's defensive performance, emphasizing that mistakes are an integral part of the game: 'Football without mistakes is impossible, it's absolutely normal. Our task is to help players minimize them as much as possible. But honestly, I saw many more positive aspects in defense than shortcomings.'
The Italian coach also assessed the squad's readiness and detailed the current condition of the players: 'We started preparations more than a month ago, and our legionnaires joined the team a bit later. Nevertheless, I am convinced that we did a good job on physical fitness. Of course, there are certain nuances with some players that we still need to address, and we will continue working on that.'
