International consulting firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has released a study titled "Built to Change: How Cities Compete for the Future," analyzing how major global metropolises adapt to future challenges.

According to the BCG ranking, Tashkent is among the world leaders in the pace of transformation, placing third out of 80 cities, behind only China's Shenzhen and Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh.

The Uzbek capital also topped the list for the rate of change in economic activity, including growth in real incomes and a decline in unemployment.

BCG experts evaluated cities on quality of life, social capital, and the efficiency of citizen-government interaction. They emphasize that a city's success today depends not only on infrastructure but also on its ability to rapidly adapt and create value for residents.

Tashkent is reportedly demonstrating such dynamics, becoming attractive to investors, professionals, and digital nomads, and building an image as a hub of knowledge, technology, and culture in Central Asia.

Earlier, Uzbekistan was recognized as the most peaceful country in Central Asia.
