A powerful mudflow occurred in several districts of the Jizzakh region. Videos circulating on social media show cars being swept away by the water flow in the Bakhmal district.

Uzgidromet had previously warned of worsening weather conditions in a number of regions of the country. In particular, possible mudflows and floods were reported on June 18-19 in foothill and mountainous areas.

A warning of strong winds and heavy rains has also been issued in the Jizzakh region. Forecasters predict short-term rains with thunderstorms, wind gusts of up to 13-18 meters per second, and dust storms. Night temperatures will be 18-23 degrees, daytime temperatures 31-36 degrees.
