President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has awarded Aziz Turaev, Chairman of the Public Fund 'Mehr va Muruvvat', with the 'Mehnat Shukhrati' (Labor Glory) order. The corresponding decree was published on the occasion of his 90th birthday.

According to the presidential press service, the award was granted for his long-term work in state administration bodies, development of science, education, culture and arts, and enhancement of the cultural and intellectual potential of the people.

His exemplary activities in personnel training, youth support, and upbringing of the younger generation in the spirit of love for the Motherland were noted. The award was also given for active participation in public life and promotion of large-scale reforms in New Uzbekistan.

Earlier, the president signed a decree awarding a group of cultural, art and literary figures for their long-term fruitful activities and significant contribution to the development of New Uzbekistan.
