The Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan announced the start of construction of a plant for the production of humanoid robots and components in the special industrial zone 'Yangi Avlod' in Tashkent.

The event took place as part of the fifth anniversary Tashkent International Investment Forum. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Ilzat Kasimov, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Won Do Yeon, and President of ROBOTIS Kim Byung Soo.

Founded in 1999, ROBOTIS is a global leader in autonomous robotics with assets of $2.5 billion and offices in the US, Japan, and China. Its technologies are used by giants such as Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, NASA, Google, Samsung, and BMW.

The ministry emphasized that the implementation of this strategic project will elevate Uzbekistan's industry to a new high-tech level. It is expected to create over a thousand skilled jobs and facilitate the transfer of advanced international experience, laying the foundation for the country to become a leading robotics hub in Central Asia.
