On June 23, the Tashkent Metro will extend its service hours until 1:00 AM to accommodate passengers, the metro's press service announced.

The extension is due to the Uzbekistan national football team's upcoming World Cup qualifying match scheduled for 10:00 PM on the same day.

The match is expected to cause a significant increase in the movement of football fans across various parts of the capital. To provide additional convenience for passengers and ensure uninterrupted public transport service, metro train operations have been extended by one hour.

"This additional operating schedule is designed to help football fans reach their destinations safely, comfortably, and quickly after the match," the statement said.

The metro administration urged passengers to plan their trips in advance and strictly adhere to safety rules.

The Uzbekistan national team will play its next group stage match against Portugal on June 23 at 10:00 PM, and against DR Congo on June 28 at 4:30 AM.

The Tashkent city administration has announced the locations of large screens for broadcasting the matches. One screen will be installed in each district of the capital, as well as at the Bunyodkor Stadium.

Additionally, "Fan Zones" will be organized in schools across 208 districts and cities of Uzbekistan, where students, parents, and other fans can watch the national team's matches live on big screens.
