Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. Employees of territorial departments under the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan have uncovered several cases of illegal use of energy resources in the Namangan and Tashkent regions.
In the Uychi district of Namangan region, an individual entrepreneur illegally connected a retail outlet on the territory of a farmers' market to the general power grid and used electricity for commercial purposes. The damage amounted to 119.5 million soums.
Another case was recorded in the Urtachirchik district of Tashkent region. A citizen connected his house in the Burgalik mahalla to the gas network, causing damage of 107.8 million soums.
A similar violation was detected in the Davlatabad district: a citizen illegally connected to the gas network for commercial purposes and unlawfully used natural gas worth 99.8 million soums.
Criminal cases have been initiated on all facts, and investigations are underway.
Earlier, an enterprise in Samarkand region was found to have illegally used electricity worth nearly 3.6 billion soums.
