Uzbekistan's under-15 wrestling team claimed the top spot in the team standings at the Asian Wrestling Championship in Pattaya, Thailand, securing eight medals.
The tournament featured age categories U15 and U20. Uzbek athletes won three gold, one silver, and four bronze medals in Greco-Roman wrestling.
Gold medalists: Abubakr Kurbonov (38 kg), Makhmudjon Akhmedov (41 kg), and Bobur Sayfulloev (44 kg). Silver went to Ruslan Ovezmuratov (68 kg).
Bronze medalists: Mirislom Gofurov (48 kg), Abdulaziz Khotamov (52 kg), Bekhruz Abdupattoyev (62 kg), and Temur Uralov (85 kg).
Earlier, Uzbek track and field athlete Anvar Anvarov set a new national record with a jump of 8.29 meters at an international tournament in Croatia.
