The initiative to celebrate Youth Day on June 30 in Uzbekistan was proposed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in 2017.

The law “On Establishing the Youth Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was approved on August 24 of the same year and came into force after official publication.

This date was first celebrated in 2018. Since then, various events have been held across the country every year on June 30.

To mark the occasion, Gazeta prepared a quiz based on quotes from Jadids and enlighteners about youth. The quiz allows young people to test their knowledge.
