Uzbekistan national team forward Eldor Shomurodov summed up the team's performance at the World Cup, emphasizing that the tournament provided valuable experience.

"First of all, we understood how to prepare for such tournaments and at what level everything happens. This is a very good experience for the future. Life goes on. Now our main goal is the 2027 Asian Cup," Shomurodov said.

The striker also commented on the match against DR Congo, where Uzbekistan led after the first half.

"When you are winning, whether you want it or not, psychologically there is a desire to keep the score. The opponent, in such a situation, needs a win and starts to push forward more. All this plays a big role," he noted.

Shomurodov specifically addressed the game against Portugal, stating that the opponent played one of their strongest matches in the tournament.

"Portugal started very powerfully in the first 10-15 minutes. I think the match against Uzbekistan was one of their strongest at this World Cup. This was also influenced by the fact that they drew with Congo in the first round. They came out against us with a different motivation. When footballers of such level play at full strength, of course, it was very difficult for us," Shomurodov added.
