Starting July 1, the admission process for master's degree programs at state higher education institutions for the 2026/2027 academic year has commenced. Applications are accepted online until July 30 via the my.edu.uz platform, according to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
The ministry stated that applicants with national or international certificates confirming their foreign language proficiency are eligible to participate in the master's admission competition. An online application requires a bachelor's degree diploma and a foreign language certificate.
The ministry also published a list of foreign language certificates recognized for master's admission, categorized by specialization. However, certain categories of applicants are exempt from the foreign language certificate requirement.
It is recalled that admission to bachelor's programs at universities and vocational education institutions in Uzbekistan took place from June 5 to June 25. The admission process, as before, is conducted in two stages — based on the principle of 'test first, then selection'.
For reference, the presidential decree [No. PF-43] of July 18, 2025, approved the parameters of the state order for admission to bachelor's and master's programs at state higher education institutions for the 2025/2026 academic year and the following three academic years.
Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, top-category teachers will be able to study in the targeted master's program of the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University in a distance format. Graduates will be required to work in schools for at least three years, and admission quotas will be determined annually based on needs.
