A tragic road accident in Andijan has claimed the lives of two people, including a grandmother and her grandson. The incident occurred when a speeding Malibu struck pedestrians on a crosswalk.

According to a report by Kun.uz, the driver of the Malibu was allegedly racing with a BMW at high speed. The impact killed two victims instantly.

Witnesses reported that the car dragged a child for up to 100 meters.

The driver of the Malibu has been arrested and remanded in custody. An investigation is underway.
