The National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan has released a price analysis for goods and services in June of the current year.

According to the analysis, among staple food products, prices for rice and rice groats increased by 2.3%, buckwheat by 1.2%, pasteurized milk by 1.2%, sugar, mutton, and boneless beef by 1%, eggs by 0.8%, and live and frozen fish by an average of 0.7%.

Over the month, among major fruit and vegetable products, eggplants fell by 46.6%, tomatoes by 38.3%, bell peppers by 31.4%, watermelons by 26.3%, cucumbers by 25%, grapes by 18.7%, garlic-onion by 13.5%, potatoes by 12.8%, cabbage by 5.6%, bananas by 5.9%, and herbs by 4.4%. Carrots rose by 6.5%, and onions by 3.6%.

On average across the republic, electricity prices increased by 9.6% and gas by 10.7% over the month.

In June, AI-92 gasoline rose by 3.6%, AI-95 by 6%, AI-98 and AI-100 by 3.9%. Propane prices increased by 11.3% and methane by 8.8% over the month.

Among passenger transport services, taxi fares rose by 1.3% over the month. Railway fares fell by 0.3%, and airfares by 0.6%. It is noted that this was influenced by the exchange rate of the national currency against the euro and Swiss franc, as well as changes in fuel surcharges on a number of routes.
