The bodies of three teenagers who drowned in the Zarafshan River in the Navoi region have been found after a two-day search, the regional emergency department reported.

According to the department, four young men from the Katta Machit neighborhood in Karmana district went swimming in the Zarafshan River on the afternoon of July 8. Three of them drowned.

Search and rescue operations involved rescuers from the Bukhara and Navoi regional emergency departments, special equipment, and motorized rubber boats. On July 10, the bodies of the three minors were found at various distances from the incident site.

According to a source from Kun.uz, the deceased were identified as J.S. (born 2008), J.S. (born 2012), and O.T. (born 2010). Two of them were brothers.

Earlier, three young people drowned in a river in the Surkhandarya region.
