Law enforcement in the Baghdad district of Fergana region has uncovered a major embezzlement case at a private company's coal warehouse. An employee allegedly misappropriated over 1,600 tons of coal.

According to the investigation, the warehouse manager, who was entrusted with the coal and held financially responsible, embezzled 1,658.53 tons of imported coal. The suspect's actions caused damages of approximately 1.7 billion UZS to the company.

A criminal case has been opened under the article on embezzlement or misappropriation of property. The investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, in Samarkand region, over 900 million UZS worth of coal intended for the population was stolen.
