Law enforcement officers in the Jizzakh region have detained a man who allegedly promised to help a woman get a job at a medical institution in exchange for a monetary reward. He was caught red-handed while receiving the money.

A joint operation by the regional Department of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service led to the arrest of a 37-year-old resident of the Sharaf-Rashidov district. According to investigators, the man gained the trust of a woman from the "Dustlik" mahalla in the Pakhtakor district and claimed he could use his connections to secure her a position as a nurse at the Jizzakh branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care.

For his mediation, he demanded $1,000. He was detained while receiving the money. A pre-investigation check is currently underway.

Similar cases have been reported before. For instance, a resident of the Navoi region allegedly promised to arrange a job for an acquaintance in the security unit of "Uzbekiston Temir Yollari" in exchange for a bribe.
