Tashkent Metro has received three new modern four-car trains as part of its ongoing fleet renewal program, the metro's press service announced.
The new trains are expected to reduce headways, increase passenger capacity, and gradually replace aging rolling stock that has reached the end of its service life.
Each new train is equipped with air conditioning for summer and heating for winter, ensuring passenger comfort throughout the year.
By the end of this year, the metro plans to receive 11 more new trains, continuing the large-scale modernization of the capital's transport system.
Earlier, the metro administration announced plans to purchase 56 new cars (14 trains) in 2026, with the tender scheduled for November 2025.
Over the past four years, Tashkent Metro has acquired 41 new trains manufactured by Russia's Metrovagonmash, and deliveries under this cooperation are ongoing.
