In Samarkand region, a rapid operation exposed the illegal actions of the deputy prosecutor of Urgut district, according to the State Security Service.

It was found that while working at the Pastdargom district prosecutor's office, the official promised to reduce the damage caused to the state by a company's illegal use of gas from 2 billion 887 million soums to 805.9 million soums.

In exchange, he received a bribe of $6,500 and 35 million soums through intermediaries. He also allegedly promised to further reduce the damage amount by 150-200 million soums within a criminal case opened under Article 169 (Theft) of the Criminal Code against company officials.

Additionally, through acquaintances in the judicial system, he promised to arrange a lenient sentence and demanded an additional $15,000 from the company owner. Material evidence of the deputy prosecutor's illegal actions was documented procedurally.
