FC Bukhara, preparing for the second part of the Uzbekistan Super League season, has received financial support from regional authorities. The Bukhara region budget allocated 5 billion soum to the club.
The funds are intended to support the team after it lost financing from its general sponsor. The decision was made on the initiative of the governor of Bukhara region and president of the regional football association, Botir Zaripov.
Following approval from the regional council of people's deputies, the money was transferred to the club's account. The financial assistance was needed after the club faced serious funding problems.
Previously, the club's general sponsor, the Bukhara Oil Refinery, ceased support for Bukhara after a decision by the Uzbekneftegaz company. Since then, regional authorities have taken on the main responsibility for maintaining the club.
The allocated funds are expected to stabilize the club's financial situation and ensure its preparation for the second half of the championship. Currently, Bukhara ranks third in the Super League standings. On July 16, the team will play an away match against Neftchi.
