In early June, the public entry for Ravshan Mukhitdinov, known as 'Ravshan Zolotoy' (Ravshan the Golden), disappeared from Interpol's wanted persons database. The previously active Red Notice link now returns no results, indicating the international wanted alert has been lifted.
In April, Uzbek law enforcement authorities had placed the 37-year-old citizen on Interpol's wanted list. He was accused under Articles 173 (intentional destruction of property), 242 (organizing an armed group), and 277 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code, carrying penalties of up to 15 years in prison.
On July 14, at a press conference at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Deputy Head of Tashkent City Police Department Dilmurod Mirsodikov explained why the search was halted. According to him, the criminal case was opened in 2021 but later suspended due to the expiration of the statute of limitations and procedural deadlines.
After new complaints and information emerged, the investigation was reactivated. However, following all investigative actions, the charges were not confirmed, and the case was closed again. Mirsodikov stated that other accusations and circumstances also proved unsubstantiated.
Mukhitdinov himself posted on Facebook that after '19 years of persecution,' all charges against him have been dropped, and 'the road to the historical homeland is open.' He resides in Turkey, works as an entrepreneur, and serves as Vice President for Financial Affairs of the Dünya Engelliler Vakfı foundation in Istanbul.
