A resident of Tashkent’s Sergeli district has accused a cashier at a Korzinka supermarket of overcharging her.
The shopper posted a video on Instagram showing two receipts: the first for about 916,000 soums, and the second—after she complained—for about 825,000 soums.
The woman claimed this was the fourth such incident and said she plans to file a complaint with the prosecutor’s office.
Korzinka’s press service quickly responded, attributing the error to human error: the cashier pressed the “2” key twice, causing the system to register 22 units of an item instead of two.
The company urged customers to contact store management or support if they have doubts and promised to strengthen oversight and retrain staff.
