Following a visit by the president, the governor of Bekabad city, Nasrulla Boboev, and the governor of Yangiyul district, Odiljon Ataullaev, have left their posts. They have been replaced by Narimonjon Ismoilov and Sanat Jumaniyozov, respectively.
On July 14, an extraordinary session of the Bekabad city Council of People's Deputies was held. At the session, regional governor Zoir Mirzaev delivered an analytical report on shortcomings in the implementation of tasks for the socio-economic development of the city and outlined upcoming important tasks.
The regional head proposed the candidacy of Narimonjon Numonovich Ismoilov, who had been working as director of the directorate of the special industrial park "Navoi Industrial Development Park," for the position of Bekabad governor. The deputies approved him as the new city governor.
Nasrulla Boboev had been leading Bekabad since May 2022. The reason for his departure was not disclosed.
On the same day, an extraordinary session of the Yangiyul district Council of People's Deputies was also held to consider an organizational matter.
Zoir Mirzaev proposed the candidacy of Sanat Shakirovich Jumaniyozov, who had previously held a responsible position in the Cabinet of Ministers, for the post of Yangiyul district governor. The deputies approved S. Jumaniyozov as district governor.
Odiljon Kasimovich Ataullaev had been leading the district since August 2023.
The personnel changes in the region occurred after the president visited Bekabad district on July 13, inspecting new infrastructure projects and improvement works.
