Due to the start of the next stage of reconstruction on Mustaqillik Avenue in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent, the traffic pattern will be temporarily changed. After the opening of the repaired section of the road, construction and repair work will begin on the opposite lane.
The Tashkent city administration reported that phased construction and repair work is underway on Mustaqillik Avenue to improve road infrastructure, regulate traffic flow, and create convenient conditions for public transport.
In the previous stage, one side of the avenue was completely repaired and the road surface was renewed. Work also continues on improving engineering and communication networks and other infrastructure facilities along the avenue.
Now, to start repair work on the second side of the avenue, the traffic order will be changed. In this regard, from 01:00 on July 16 to 22:00 on July 31, 2026, the roadway of Mustaqillik Avenue from the intersection with Parkent Street to the intersection with Mirzo Ulugbek Street will be temporarily closed to traffic.
At the same time, from 02:00 on July 16, the section from the intersection with Mirzo Ulugbek Street to Akkurgan Street, where repair work has already been completed, will be reopened to all types of transport.
Temporary restrictions are introduced for the complete and high-quality reconstruction of Mustaqillik Avenue, improving road safety, and creating a modern and convenient road infrastructure for drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
The Tashkent Traffic Management Center apologized to drivers for possible inconveniences and recommended planning routes in advance.
