A serious traffic accident occurred on July 16 at approximately 18:30 on Dormon Yuli Street in Tashkent's Mirzo Ulugbek district, according to Zoir Yuldoshev, spokesman for the Road Safety Service (SBBD).

Three SBBD inspectors traveling on patrol motorcycles collided at an intersection with an Onix car that had entered from Gazalkent Street.

As a result, one SBBD inspector riding a patrol motorcycle died at the scene from his injuries. Other victims are receiving medical assistance; their number is being clarified.

The SBBD also stated that reports claiming the accident occurred while escorting a motorcade are false.

An investigation is currently underway. Additional information will be released later.
