According to Uzgidromet, after a prolonged period of extreme heat, temperatures will decrease on Monday in desert areas and across the entire republic by Tuesday.
From July 20 to 24, Uzbekistan will experience partly cloudy skies with no precipitation. Only on July 21 in Karakalpakstan and July 22 in the Fergana Valley regions, brief rains and possible thunderstorms are expected. In mountainous areas, occasional short rains and thunderstorms are forecast.
Daytime temperatures on Monday will range from +40 to +43°C, with southern areas reaching +45 to +47°C, and northern regions at +34 to +39°C.
From Tuesday through the end of the workweek, nighttime temperatures will drop to +20…+25°C, daytime to +32…+37°C, and locally to +30°C.
On July 20-22, wind speeds may increase to 13-18 m/s in some areas, with gusts up to 20-22 m/s in certain regions.
In Tashkent, partly cloudy skies with no precipitation. Monday's temperature will be +41…+43°C, Tuesday night +25…+27°C, daytime +36…+38°C.
On July 22-24, nighttime temperatures will drop to +20…+23°C, daytime to +31…+34°C. Winds will shift from east to west at 3-8 m/s, occasionally strengthening to 12-15 m/s, with dust devils in some areas.
