Earlier, we reported the detention of former imam-khatib and founder of Rayxon oilaviy milliy taomlari, Odilkhon Ismailov. He and other defendants in the criminal case were charged under eight articles of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, including embezzlement, false entrepreneurship, official forgery, and others.

The Pap District Criminal Court considered the criminal case against Odilkhon Ismailov and others, the press service of the Supreme Court reported.

According to the court verdict, seven defendants were found guilty of crimes under: Article 167, Part 3, Clause 'a' (Embezzlement or misappropriation); Article 209, Part 2, Clause 'a' (Official forgery); Article 227, Part 2, Clause 'a' (Seizure, destruction, damage or concealment of documents, stamps, seals, forms, state license plates of motor vehicles and their trailers); Article 228, Part 2, Clauses 'a' and 'b' (Manufacture, forgery of documents, stamps, seals, forms, their sale or use).

Ismailov was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment (taking into account Article 62 of the Criminal Code 'Rules for crediting time of detention, custody or house arrest' — 7 years 11 months 28 days).

The remaining six defendants received various prison terms based on the nature of their criminal actions.

The court also ordered the convicted to compensate for the material damage caused.
