According to international travel company Expedia Group, search queries for travel to Uzbekistan in June 2026 increased by 54% compared to the same period last year, with actual bookings also rising significantly.

In June, the number of tourists booking trips to Uzbekistan through Expedia services grew by 45.6% year-on-year, while air ticket sales increased by 23%. Key foreign markets remain the US, Japan, the UK, South Korea, Germany, and France.

The highest demand growth was recorded in the US and Japan, while among European countries, the UK, Germany, and France lead. Domestically, tourists most often choose Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara, with Khiva seeing a notable increase in bookings.

Preliminary data indicates sustained high demand: 82.9% of all confirmed bookings are for trips planned between July and September 2026, just ahead of the peak tourist season.

Experts attribute Uzbekistan's growing popularity to expanded air connectivity, simplified visa procedures, and active international promotion.

Earlier, the national football team's debut at the FIFA World Cup 2026 was reported as a powerful promotional tool. The Tourism Committee's international campaign generated over 1.07 billion views, sharply boosting interest in Uzbekistan as a tourist destination.
