Officers from the Tashkent Regional State Security Service and Main Internal Affairs Directorate have uncovered two criminal groups in the Bostanlyk district, locked in a violent dispute over control of beaches along the Charvak Reservoir.

The conflict reportedly arose from the groups' attempts to forcibly seize and control the beaches, aiming to expand their influence and illegally dominate the area.

In the initial clash, members of the first group assaulted representatives of the second, causing bodily harm. Four individuals were arrested and charged under Article 277 of the Uzbek Criminal Code (Hooliganism), with pretrial detention ordered.

Seeking revenge, the second group later attacked a remaining member of the first faction, using brass knuckles and a baseball bat to inflict severe injuries.

A subsequent operation led to the arrest of nine more suspects. Authorities also discovered that one detainee had been spreading religious extremist propaganda via Instagram. The investigation is ongoing.
