Law enforcement officers in the Samarkand region have busted a group distributing synthetic drugs through a stash system. During a special operation, 44 individuals were detained.

The operation was carried out by the regional police department's operational-search service together with the State Security Service as part of the 'Safe and Healthy Country' preventive measures.

According to authorities, the suspects sold synthetic drugs via a Telegram channel and a dedicated bot, leaving them in pre-prepared hiding spots for buyers. Their activities were uncovered in the Akdarya, Pastdargom, Nurabad districts and Samarkand city.

During searches and stash inspections, officers found 21 stashes containing mephedrone equivalent to approximately 1,500 single doses.

A criminal case has been initiated, and an investigation is underway.
