The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan expressed deep concern over the escalating situation in the border area between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The statement said: "We call on the parties to immediately cease fire, exercise restraint, and refrain from actions that could lead to further intensification of tensions."

Additionally, the Uzbek side emphasized that all arising disagreements must be resolved exclusively through peaceful means, via political and diplomatic dialogue, based on the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and mutual respect of states.

Pakistan declared an "open war" against the "Taliban" and conducted airstrikes on several Afghan cities. Islamabad claims that the Taliban have turned Afghanistan into an "Indian colony," started "exporting terrorism," and blamed them for recent suicide attacks on Pakistani territory.
