The administrative offense case against Uzbelas Performance auto service employee Asadbek Jumayev has been reviewed on appeal. The first-instance court's decision to impose a fine has been overturned. According to the Tashkent City Court ruling, Jumayev has been sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest.
Asadbek Jumayev, who stated he was "proud" of his involvement in an incident with two BMWs that disobeyed traffic police demands and boasted about receiving a "small fine" for distributing the video, has been sentenced to administrative arrest. This was reported by Aziz Obidov, head of the Supreme Court press service.
The Mirzo-Ulugbek district prosecutor's office filed an appeal against the court decision regarding Asadbek Jumayev issued in January. Under that ruling, Jumayev was fined 20 BWR—8,420,000 soums.
Today, February 27, the criminal cases panel of the Tashkent City Court reviewed the administrative offense case against Asadbek Jumayev on appeal and overturned the first-instance court's decision to impose a fine.
In accordance with the Tashkent City Court decision, Asadbek Jumayev has been sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest under Article 195-2 of the Administrative Responsibility Code (dissemination of distorted photo and/or video images of law enforcement officers leading to their discredit).
It was previously reported that the prosecutor's office appealed the court decision in the case of BMWs fleeing from traffic police.
